    Hello, here is my question. Let’s take a CrossFit athlete or a UFC fighter. Is there a benefit for the athlete to become fat adapted for performance purposes?

    This would be a great question for John Connor, can you please repost this in the cutting weight section? I know it may not seem to fit, but he does handle their diets as well and he only checks that one segment. Thanks!

    Simple answer, No.
    Now, if the athlete has insulin issues, is severely over weight, or major hormone imbalances then this may be a good option to try. It may be even just simply doing very low carbs ratio for a short time and not completely make him “fat adapted”.
