Caffeine and citruline

Hi Team, i hope everyone is staying strong and healthy. Correct me if i am wrong but did Charles use to say never to mix caffeine and citruline malate? Use caffeine for strength training and citruline for hypertrophy only. I assume that would be because they have opposite effect on the blood vessels.
